My, but its soggy around here.

So if you started to potty train a little person who had seemed ready, but they hadn't made it to the potty even one time since Tuesday morning, would you give up until later?

Man I hate a quitter, but you know what I hate more? Cleaning upholstery.
Your advice is appreciated.
(I promise to take it under consideration)

I was bound and determined that McKayla was ready to potty train. I knew she was smart enough. However 4 days of tourture, I quit! I left her potty chair in teh bathroom, in case she may want to use it, but I didn't force or rush anything. About six month later she secided that she wanted to use the potty and so we started again with m&ms as prizes for using her potty (I'm talking 1 or 2 m&ms. She did much better the second time around. I suggest that you let your kid lead the way. He may have thought that he was ready too, but now he would like to get out of the contract. Good luck!

I would quit. But that's just me.

We are trying the positive reinforcement game. If Zane makes it to the potty we sing a song and do the potty celebration dance. If he doesn't then there is no celebrating - just serious, silent, quick diaper change. I am hoping he will realize all the "fun" that comes with going on the potty. He made it three times today!
